AUPS KURUVA

AUP School was established in 1936 as an aided Mappila school. The school is now in the forefront in all respect, at sub-district and district level. At present the school has classes from 1std to VIIstd. There is also a nursery school attached to the school with L K G and U K G classes.

The present strength of students is 1051 and the number of teachers 35. Well planned child entered Learning activities are organised by the teachers concerned from the beginning of the year itself as per the directions of SSA. Special attention is given to improvement & weaker students. Many students in the school receive LSS and USS Scholarships every year.

Clubs of Basic science , Social Science and Mathematics , are formed and activities like Quiz , Essay Competitions, Seminars and Study Tours are conducted . Vidhyarankam Kala Sahithya Vedi is functioning well with notable achievements in the literary competitions. The School has a Scout Unit affiliated to the BHARATH SCOUTS AND GUIDES. There is a band unit under the Scout.

The School has a chalk manufacturing Unit , In which the students are given training in the manufacture of chalk , Soap , Clay and plastic wire products. The School Library has a stock of more than 3000 Books including several reference books. A well equipped computer lab is provided for the students of U P section.

This institution continues to be in the forefront of the primary schools of MANKADA Sub District both in Academic and extra. Curricular activities due to the invited and fireless efforts of the Teachers, Management and PTA.
